Welcome to SJ Health

I’m Sasha, a registered functional medicine–based Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, CNHC Reg, AFMCP Cert), supporting individuals in improving their health through personalised nutrition and a root-cause, whole-body approach.

Whether due to digestive discomfort, hormonal imbalances, skin flare-ups, persistent fatigue, complex autoimmune conditions, or a mix of unexplained symptoms, that haven't yet been fully understood, my approach is all about getting to the root of what’s really going on in your body. I take the time to understand your unique story, and together we create a personalised, realistic plan to support optimal health and well-being.

Through evidence-based nutrition, targeted lifestyle interventions and a functional medicine approach, I help you restore optimal balance, improve bodily function, and help you regain control of your health.

Whether you are facing a specific issue or simply feel like your body isn’t functioning as it should, I’m here to help you explore potential hidden imbalances and support you with a practical, root-cause approach to help you feel your best.

The Journey

My Story

In 2012, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition- the start of a long and often isolating journey through Graves' disease, Thyroid eye disease, SIBO, sleep disturbances, food intolerances, and chronic migraines.

Like many people living with complex health issues, I found myself caught in a cycle of symptom management, often feeling that the bigger picture of my health was not being addressed.

Beneath the frustration was a strong desire to understand why, and a sense that there had to be another way. This belief led me to explore functional and root-cause approaches to health. Over the following years, I spent countless hours researching, experimenting with dietary and lifestyle changes, exploring different treatment approaches, and carefully tracking my symptoms.

Gradually, I began to experience improvements. Each small step forward strengthened my belief in the body’s capacity to recover when supported in the right way.

Earlier in my journey, an invasive medical procedure resulted in a lifelong side effect. The knowledge I have gained since has allowed me to manage it effectively, and it continues to drive my commitment to helping others take a more informed, strategic approach to their health.

These experiences ultimately inspired me to pursue formal training in nutritional therapy and functional medicine.

Training & Professional Background

I went on to train as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), completing three intensive years of study and graduating with distinction. I continued my education with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and now assist with supervision at the CNM student clinic, supporting those who are training to become practitioners.

Combining clinical training with personal experience, I am committed to helping others towards optimal health by helping to uncover the root causes of their challenges. My approach is deeply personalised, evidence-informed, and honours the body as an interconnected whole.

As a member of the British Association of Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, and the Institute for Functional Medicine, I stay up to date through ongoing professional development and the latest research. I’m committed to maintaining high professional and ethical standards, so you can feel confident that the care you receive is safe, well-informed, tailored to your unique needs, and results-driven.

If you are ready to explore the underlying causes of your symptoms and take steps toward feeling your best, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
